Ancient sounds

In the majority of these works, I try to recreate or evoke in images what for me is a 'musical atmosphere'. With these combinations of chromatic tones, organic textures and ornamentation, I attempt to pictorially translate the vibrations that resound within me when I listen to music. In a sense, it is an attempt at creating visual music.

Another series of works is consecrated, in a broad sense, to the English word 'record', which has several meanings: a musical recording for instance, but also an account, a testimony, of the past. These are former works that I have ventured to transform by cutting them into circular forms, like vinyl music disks (with a hole in the middle). In a way, they form a chronicle of my earlier works. I chose them because of the almost musical vibrations that they create for me.
